My wife and I stayed (and had dinner) at the Hotel Paulin on 6/27/2019. We just can't say enough about our stay and our experience there. We specifically booked a room on the 3rd Floor for the ocean view and were delighted by the old world decor and charm. Everything was perfect! Our dinner (and breakfast the following morning) in the onsite dining room was outstanding as well. Karen (chef and co-owner) prepared our whole lobsters perfectly and the wine and dessert were top notch too! As important as our accommodations and our food was the absolute genuine interaction we had with Gerard (3rd generation co-owner) and his wife Karen. We truly appreciated them answering our questions and showing pictures of the history of the hotel, how it was physically re-located to its current location (from where it was originally built in the 1890's) as well as info on the decorations and furniture. We were even treated to their plans for the future of the hotel! When we visit again, we'll be sure to stay longer and enjoy this great hotel and wonderful family! Note: In response to Mr. Saumur's negative review complaining about the hotel not allowing four people to pack into a boutique room with two double beds, I applaud Gerard for his decision to say "No"! The Hotel Paulin is an upscale facility with Old World charm. If you are looking for a flop house with an "all you can eat" mentality, there's a budget hotel just down the road!

This is a beautiful hotel. Very authentic 1891 theme. Wish there was a continental breakfasts. Should have more pictures of that era. All in all it’s a very nice place to stay at. Close to all the amenities around. Great location.

I’ve visited Hotel Paulin several times over the last 15 years and always been feeling home there. Gerard welcomes you with his genuine attention to detail and serves you great breakfast upon request. Worth checking in advance if his wife Karen is cooking the next where you’re coming as she’s an excellent gastronomic chef.

Great place to stay. Beautiful room. Brings you back in time (1891). The woodwork and the antique furniture of the house is nice. Called at the last minute was able to get a room. Karen was nice, helpful and welcoming. We could call her anytime if we had any questions.

My wife and I spent two nights here in August. Very friendly service, and our room was very nice. Had a great bay view. We also had dinner one night and the food was great. There were a few missteps that the hotel resolved more than satisfactorily as well and we would definitely come back.

Such a lovely, lovely place! We very much enjoyed the quaint family friendly atmosphere and hospitality. As soon as you walk in the front door, it's like going on an adventure back in time, with such a rich history surrounding the venue. As a bonus, the walk along the beach there around sunset is absolutely stunning! Special thanks to Karen for the good conversation and breakfast baskets. Can't wait to visit the heart of Acadia again in the future!
